Faeries,

Do you believe?

Mother, Father, Gran, I'm home
No-one spoke
Father looked so angry
Mother and Gran just hugged and hugged me
But I did notice a strange look on Gran's face
when I mentioned the faeries
I tried to tell them about the wee faeries
Father told me to stop such nonsense
And get up to my room
I would be dealt with in the morning,
I tried to tell him I was lost in the forest,
and how the Wandering Faery had brought me home
He just said "Off to your room!"
I knew they wouldn't believe me
But then I remembered what
the Wandering Faery had said
Your mother will
As mother took me up to bed
I asked her about what the Wandering Faery had said
Hush child, wait til we are in your room

Mother started to explain,
"When I was a child
I, too got lost in the forest
And it was the Wandering Faery that brought me home
Your Gramma and Grandpa
didn't believe me either
And they told me never to mention the faeries again
The Wandering Faery has always watched out for me,
and now she has brought you home
She will continue to take care of you
She always has and always will."

So Mother too, knew of the faeries
They are the Guardians of lost children, but only if you believe
The only ones that had been lost were Mother and me
So we were the only ones to see them
At least at our house
So now I must ask you
Do you believe?
I Believe
X Are you kidding?
